DuocUC and NUS foster academic ties

Instituto Profesional y Centro de Formación Técnica DuocUC (DuocUC), Chile and NUS inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote joint research and development activities of mutual interest on 14 January 2010. This is the first such collaboration between the two institutions.

Accompanying DuocUC Rector Mr Jaime Alcalde C was DuocUC's Academic Vice Rector Mr Bernardo Errázuriz G and Director of International Affairs Mr Carlos Hinrichsen. Ambassador of the Republic of Chile to Singapore His Excellency Fernando Danus, Consul of Chile to Singapore Madam Daniela Rivera, and Deputy Head of Mission Mr Felipe Allard were also present. Following the MOU signing ceremony, the Chilean delegation was given an overview of NUS through various presentations and brought on a campus tour.

DuocUC is a private non-profit professional institute, founded in 1968 by the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile which is recognised as the first university in Chile and third in South America.
