NUS Overseas Alumni Chapter launched in Jakarta

NUS' 16th Overseas Alumni Chapter was officially launched in Jakarta, Indonesia, by NUS President Prof Tan Chorh Chuan on 23 February.

Some 150 alumni and friends attended the special occasion graced by the Singapore's Ambassador to Indonesia, His Excellency Mr Ashok Kumar Mirpuri. After enjoying a colourful performance melding traditional Indonesian and Western dance forms, Prof Tan and Mr Pery Irawan, Chairman of the Overseas Alumni Chapter, Jakarta, inaugurated the new Chapter by striking a Javanese gong.

With over 200,000 alumni from more than 100 countries, NUS seeks to establish overseas alumni chapters in strategic cities worldwide to strengthen ties with its global community.
