New US Ambassador calls on NUS President

United States Ambassador to Singapore His Excellency David Adelman paid a courtesy call on NUS President Prof Tan Chorh Chuan on 18 May 2010. He was accompanied by embassy officer Mr Aruna Amirthanayagam.

President Obama nominated H.E. Adelman to be the next US Ambassador to Singapore on 20 November 2009 and the US Senate confirmed his appointment on 19 March 2010. Prior to his new role, H.E. Adelman was a State Senator in the Georgia General Assembly and Assistant Attorney General in Georgia. For the past 20 years he had worked with the national law firm Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP.
