NUS awarded Reader's Digest Platinum — again

NUS: University of platinum distinction and a clear choice for many. |
NUS has chalked another Platinum in the Reader's Digest Trusted Brands awards programme – for the second year running. The awards were given out by Reader's Digest based on a poll where over 530,000 questionnaires were mailed by Reader's Digest magazine last October and 109,233 calls were made by The Nielsen Company. The University is a clear choice among Singaporeans — in order to achieve a Platinum award, brands must achieve a rating score that is at least double that of their nearest competitor.
NUS President Prof Shih Choon Fong is proud that the University is a choice for many. NUS has taken steps to be more than just a knowledge provider, with a host of programmes and opportunities to encourage students to pursue their passion and realise their potential.
"Seeing our students as unique individuals, we strive to offer them space to explore their interests, discover talents, and pursue passions as well as challenges to stretch and reach their best," said Prof Shih.
"As we bring the world to NUS, our students also enjoy abundant opportunities to venture out into the world – to explore, discover and grow," he added.
In the Reader's Digest poll, survey respondents are asked to name their most trusted brand in each of the product and service categories, and then to give each brand they name a rating, from 1 (low) to 5 (high), on six qualitative criteria: Trustworthiness, Credible Image, Quality, Value, Understanding of Customer Needs, and Innovation.
