NUS Logistic Institute – Asia Pacific: 6th time winner

	BEST IN ASIA: Prof Tan Eng Chye, Provost and Deputy President (Academic Affairs), and Chairman of TLI—Asia Pacific Advisory Board, receiving the Best Education Course Provider award.

The Logistic Institute – Asia Pacific (TLI — Asia Pacific) in NUS has been named the best provider of logistic education in Asia — for the 6th year consecutively. The Institute, a collaboration between NUS and the Georgia Institute of Technology, won the Best Education Course Provider title at the 2008 Asian Freight & Supply Chain Awards ceremony (22 Apr). The annual award is regarded as the most authoritative and prestigious in the industry.

The Institute emerged the winner from a poll by readers of freight industry publication Cargonews Asia. The poll was based on criteria such as curriculum that closely matches real-world requirements of private sector, private sector involvement in programme and employment rate of graduates.

Prof Tan Eng Chye, Provost and Deputy President (Academic Affairs) at NUS, and Chairman of TLI — Asia Pacific Advisory Board, said: "NUS TLI — Asia Pacific is delighted to receive this award! The Institute, supported by the Economic Development Board and A*STAR, provides logistics expertise for research and education needs in Singapore and the region. Its offerings include the Dual Master Degree Program in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (offered jointly with Georgia Tech), the Logistic Executive Education Series, as well as a comprehensive Global Logistics and Supply Chain Research Program.
