Prof Wang Chien Ming receives Lewis Kent Award

President of the Institution of Structural Engineers, Dr Graham Owens, presenting the Lewis Kent Award to Prof Wang at the Division's Annual Dinner at the Pan Pacific Hotel.
Prof Wang Chien Ming, Department of Civil Engineering, received the Lewis Kent Award on 17 August 2009 for his drive and quiet enthusiasm which has brought vibrancy and best practice to the Singapore Division of the Institution of Structural Engineers.

The prestigious award by the Institution of Structural Engineers is named after the late Lewis Kent, President of the Institution (1959-1960). The Award is presented to only a few deserving professionals each year.

Prof Wang, who is also the Director of the Engineering Science Programme, said: "I am indeed very honoured to receive this award. Looking forward, I am working with my team to further promote the art and science of structural engineering in Singapore. "
