NUS has advanced three places to be among the top 25 universities in the QS World University Rankings
The QS World University Rankings examines more than 700 universities in the world, ranking the top 400 based on academic reputation, employer reputation, citations per faculty, faculty student ration, and proportions of international students and international faculty.
NUS has improved in nearly all the indicators measured by QS, including the number of research papers published and citations generated. The University has been named 9th globally for academic reputation and 14th for employer reputation. Improvements were also made in faculty areas as follows: Arts & Humanities (11), Engineering & Technology (9), Life Sciences & Medicine (11), Natural Sciences (13) and Social Sciences & Management (10).
NUS President Professor Tan Chorh Chuan was delighted with the results that show recognition for the University's high quality education and world-class research. "This is a strong indication that our bold enhancements to education and research are creating a positive impact. With the continued support of our outstanding faculty, staff, students, alumni and supporters, NUS will work hard to make further transformative advances in education and research, for the benefit of Singapore and beyond," he said.
