NUS Admin Excellence Awards 2024: Celebrating dedication and innovation
Smiles and applause resounded at the NUS Admin Excellence Awards 2024 held on 23 October 2024, as over 150 attendees gathered onsite at the University Hall Atrium, along with a livestream audience, to celebrate the remarkable contributions and achievements of administrators and their teams at the University. This annual event, now in its second year, marks NUS’ commitment to honour the recipients whose efforts have brought significant positive impact to the University’s operations, and the wider NUS community as well.
Unlocking AI in NUS at DE’Hackathon 2024
DE’Hackathon returned for a second edition, themed “Unlocking AI in NUS”. Organised by NUS IT, the hackathon was designed to foster creativity and innovation among NUS staff, and encourage cross-departmental collaboration to develop new, innovative solutions using Digital Enablement (DE) tools and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to address real-life challenges and transform work processes.
NUS wins WSH CARE Award for exemplary mental well-being practices
NUS was among 19 organisations recognised at the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Awards 2024 on 30 July 2024 under the Culture of Acceptance, Respect and Empathy (CARE) Award Category, for their exemplary mental wellbeing practices. Rounding up the year on the courts with NUS STARS 2023 Sports Extravaganza

A guiding beacon for Human Resources management strategies
The NUS Office of Human Resources warmly welcomed a group of 29 delegates from the Human Resource Committee of Public Universities Malaysia, guiding them through a half-day programme on HR strategies at NUS. Delegates got a bird’s-eye view of the practices within NUS, as well as possible concepts and practices that they could adapt and implement into their own university HR practices.
